I just completed the Census of Agriculture. Why am I asked to complete another survey?
NASS is committed to providing timely, accurate and useful statistics in service to U.S. agriculture. A survey specific to irrigation will only further the accuracy and depth of knowledge about the nation's irrigation practices. As a result, policymakers using the information will be better informed when making decisions that directly affect producers, their operations and their communities. The data will also aid in efforts to develop and promote efficient irrigation practices and ensure long-term sustainability of water resources. Therefore, your participation in this survey is vitally important.
